THQ Nordic, known for publishing Destroy All Humans!, Darksiders, and the Spellforce series, held a showcase hosted by Geoff Keighley on September 17th to commemorate their tenth anniversary. Premiere footage of their upcoming titles was presented. Here are all the games that were featured in THQ Nordic’s tenth-anniversary showcase!
Destroy All Humans 2! Reprobed
Black Forest Games presented a remake of their 2006 title, Destroy All Humans 2! Journey back to the 60s as Crypto to get revenge on the Soviet KGB agents for destroying his mothership. You’ll have a variety of weapons of mass destruction to choose from. Blast humans with your Gastro Gun or take to the skies in your flying saucer to lay waste to buildings or abduct people. You can also use mind control to command humans to do your bidding. This remake will offer more life and more environments to destroy compared to its 2006 counterpart. There are plans to implement a co-op experience too.
Outcast 2 – A New Beginning
After a 22-year hiatus, Outcast 2 – A New Beginning, developed by Appeal Studios, is bringing the franchise into modern day. Cutter Slade returns to the alien world, Adelpha, to protect the Talon people against a new threat. This open-world, action-adventure game equips you with a jetpack to quickly traverse the landscape along with a shield and gun. New mechanics include weapon modules customization and different ways to approach the story.
Expeditions: Rome

Logic Artists presented their new title in the Expeditions series, Expeditions: Rome. After being outcasted, train and build your crew during Julius Caesar’s time. Travel through places like Greece, North Africa, and Gaul in this turn-based, tactical role-playing game. Meet historical people as you explore historically inspired conflicts. Customization has grown in this title that’s more than twice the size of its predecessor, Expeditions: Vikings.
MX VS ATV Legends
Become a world-famous rider in Rainbow Studios’ new game, MX VS ATV Legends. Race on bikes, ATVs, and UTVs across a variety of open maps. Its premiere footage showed the possibility of up to 16-player online co-op on one track. Story features along with your ride to the top include chances for invitationals and sponsorships. Customize your character and vehicle to find your perfect combination to be an off-road racing legend.
SuperPower 3
GolemLabs’ new geopolitical simulation, SuperPower 3, allows you to call the shots across the world. Control real-life conflicts like wars and political decisions. Choose a nation and start interacting with the rest of the world. There are many ways to play in the “most complete and accurate geopolitical game to date.” See if you do a better job than real-life politicians and leaders.
Elex 2
In Elex 2, an open-world, role-playing game, return as Jax to protect the planet Magalan from a new threat. Try to unite the different factions in this post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting. The story depends on what you do with the characters around you. See how they react to your actions. With your jetpack back, fight close- or long-ranged against the Skyandies.
Jagged Alliance 3
Now being developed by Haemimont Games, Jagged Alliance 3, a turn-based tactics game, will combine exploration with large-game strategic elements. Find the President with your selected variety of mercenaries that have their own unique skills and stories to tell. Your decisions matter. Customize not only your arsenal but companion perks as you make your way through Grand Chein. Familiar mercenaries come back like Vicki Waters from Jagged Alliance 1 & 2 as optional companions. Control territories and multiple parties along the way. The campaign can be played with others online.
Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake
Spongebob Squarepants is back in a new adventure, Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake. After messing up the universe with Mermaid Tears that can grant wishes, join Spongebob and Balloon Patrick as they travel across worlds in this 3D platformer. Seven wishworlds will be able to be explored like the Jellyfish Fields, filled with their own adventures. You can dive into nostalgia with the original voice actors of classic characters and familiar songs. Let’s hope Spongebob and Patrick didn’t cause too much trouble with their Mermaid Tears wishes…
THQ Nordic’s showcase for their tenth anniversary brought a lot of series to more modern-day eyes. Old games are coming back along with the next steps in popular franchises. It’s exciting to see what they will do in the future. We’ll have to check out these upcoming titles!
